  • Gregor von Laszewski is a Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory and a fellow of the Computation Institute at University of Chicago. He received a Masters Degree in 1990 from the University of Bonn, Germany, and a Ph.D. in 1996 from Syracuse University in computer science. He is involved in Grid computing since the term was coined. Current research interests are in the areas of parallel, distributed, and Grid computing. Specifically, he is working on topics in the area of using commodity technologies within Grid services, applications, and portals. He serves on multiple Grid related conferences. He is the principal investigator of the Java Commodity Grid Kit which provides the current basis for many Grid related projects including GT3 and GT4 (http://www.cogkit.org). His Web page is http://www.mcs.anl.gov/~gregor.
  • Kaizar Amin is a PhD candidate in the Computer Science Department at the University of North Texas. He is currently working at the Argonne National Laboratory with the Java CoG Kit group. He received his Masters degree from the University of North Texas in 2003 and his Bachelors degree from the Mumbai University (India) in 1999. His research interest includes the area of distributed computing, specifically Grid and Peer-to-Peer computing. He is working on topics related to the use of commodity technologies within Grid services, applications, and portals. He is also working on several projects related to Grid workflows, Grid-based quality of service, and peer-to-peer Grids. His homepage is [1]
  • Deepti Kodeboyina completed her Master's from the Computer Science Department at Indiana University, Bloomington. She completed her undergraduate studies[B.E] in Chennai, India. Her interests are in portal development, data management in the area of grid computing and web services. Her home page is [2]
  • Mihael Hategan is a staff member of the Computation Institute at the University of Chicago under supervision of Dr. Gregor von Laszewski. He graduated with a B.S. in computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology in 2002. He has worked at Argonne since his graduation as intern and has developed a high throughput based Grid Services system for an electron microscope to visualize nano materials. He is developing as part of the Java CoG kit a workflow engine for Grid tasks that also includes a vizualizer.

  • Pankaj Sahasrabudhe was a Masters student in the Computer Engineering and Computer Science department at the University of Louisville, KY. As part of the Java CoG Kit group at Argonne, he worked on his Masters thesis to develop a Grid Desktop for BioInformatics and Meta data applications. He worked for Platform Computing http://www.platform.com as part of the ASAP team of Symphony from 2005 till July 2006. Now he works for CitiGroup Corporation on their Grid project. His thesis advisor was Dr. Rammohan Ragade, University of Louisville http://www.louisville.edu/speed/cecs/people/faculty/ragade/
  • Robert Winch will be completing his first semester of the graduate portion of the dual degree program at Loyola University Chicago. He is currently working on a few independent open source projects using Python. Furthermore, he is writing innovative software, under the direction of Dr. Thiruvathukal, a Computer Science professor at Loyola University Chicago, to model and test new theories in proteomics developed by Dr. Pickett, a Biology professor at Loyola University Chicago. In addition, since Summer 2004, Robert has been accepted to work as an intern at Argonne National Laboratory where he will be working on the Java CoG Kit as a software engineer. Since he was in High School, in his spare time he runs his own business doing web development with CGI; specifically using PERL. His home page is available at http://rwinch.dnsalias.com:9080/rwinch/
